Commissions

Despite the beautiful potential of the Flute and Cello as a duo, there is a dearth of quality duo repertoire for this combination, so we are inviting new compositions! Won't you join us in our quest for new compositions?

We seek music that can reach our audience emotionally, with rich contrapuntal writing, and a variety of colors and dynamics, pieces that use standard techniques and registers that are traditionally associated with each of our instruments. We appreciate music that has heart and soul and is accessible both to the audience and the performers.

If you have the inspiration to create a flute and cello composition which has influences from either Classical, Romantic, Post Romantic, Contemporary or Multi-Cultural genres, we would love to consider performing it!

Together, let's explore the depth of what is possible on the Flute and Cello!
